‘not today’ is the new single from Lisbon-born, London-based "one girl band", Maripool. She has crafted a truly unique style that is rooted in emo influences, but with delicate lo-fi and shoegaze textures supporting her melodies. She plays every instrument on the release, aside from bass and that addictively ever-present violin countermelody. Lyrically, she explains that the track is “about when everything around you is bringing you down. When the days roll into one another, nothing ever changing."
